Tree Removal Cost Factors in Canberra
Build a non-price complexity profile from the details that affect inspection and written scope. No unsourced dollar range or instant quote is produced.

Method: how this is calculated for scope planning
What the result is and is not
The result is an ordinal preparation profile: lower, moderate or higher scope complexity, plus an official-route override. It is not a tree removal quote, price range, safety assessment, protected-status determination or promise that a provider can accept the job.
Formula
The tool adds internal planning weights for tree size uncertainty, access restriction, controlled-lowering constraints, electrical or service uncertainty, ACT status, waste handling and stump finish. A total of 0 to 4 is lower, 5 to 9 is moderate and 10 or more is higher. Immediate danger or a public-tree selection overrides the score with the appropriate official route. These weights organise questions only. They are not market coefficients.
Sources
Tree ownership and protected-status prompts follow current City Services guidance for trees on leased land and public trees. Electrical prompts follow WorkSafe ACT electrical safety guidance. This planning model uses no price benchmark or rate; only an actual provider can price the observed tree and site conditions.
Assumptions and exclusions
The model assumes the selected answers broadly describe one private-property enquiry. It holds no provider, crew, equipment or timing constant. It ignores species, exact dimensions, unseen decay, soil, weather, traffic control, underground service location, neighbour permission and the final approved activity until those facts are inspected or documented.
Plan the next step
Use the profile to prepare the written enquiry
Describe the measurements and factors above, and note any photographs available to provide later. The actual provider still confirms inspection, method, proof, approvals, inclusions and price.
